Fresh Twist: Mummy Pot Pie

You'll Need:

  • Citrus Pear chicken pot pie meal
  • Pie dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 candy eyeballs or white chocolate chips
  • 6, 4-5 inch ramekin or oven-safe dish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pot pie according to package directions
  2. Prepare mummy wrappings: Roll out pie dough and cut into ¼-½ inch wide strips
  3. Fill your dish: Scoop cooked pot pie into ramekin, leaving ½ inch from the top
  4. Create mummy bandages:
    • Cut dough strips to fit inside the dish (don't go over edges)
    • Starting at the bottom, lay strips across the pot pie
    • Crisscross strips to look like mummy bandages
    • Important: Leave a small gap for the eyes to peek out of
  5. Add the eyes: Place 2 candy eyeballs in the gap between bandages
  6. Brush with egg wash: Lightly brush dough with beaten egg for golden color
  7. Bake: 400°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown
