Vegetarian Pasta Fagioli Preparation

Carrot, celery rib, tomatoes, beans, beans, broth, tomato, onion, hot sauce, seasonings.

  • Ditalini pasta

Optional Additions

  • Tabasco sauce (for stronger flavor)
  • Oregano (for stronger flavor)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Bread of choice

Preparation & Serving Instructions

Cook times are for frozen meals. Times may vary by slow cooker/pressure cooker. Ensure all food reaches 165°F (74°C) before serving. If cooking a thawed meal, use the shorter cooking time listed as a guideline.

Cook: Follow the cooking instructions below.

Serve: Add cooked ditalini pasta and stir well. Can serve with bread of choice.

Low Carb Serving Option:

Omit noodles.

Small

Meals feed 2-3

Stovetop

Cook from frozen in medium saucepan over medium heat. Can add up to 1/2 cup water. Break up as it thaws and cooks. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 25-30 minutes. Add ½ cup cooked ditalini pasta and serve.

Pressure Cooker

Cook on manual for 5 minutes, quick pressure release. May add ¼ cup liquid before cooking to bring up to pressure. Add ½ cup cooked ditalini pasta and serve.

Slow Cooker

Using a 1.5-2 quart slow cooker, cook on low 2-3 hours or until desired vegetable texture. Add 1/2 cup cooked ditalini pasta and serve.

Seasoning

For stronger flavors, add before serving:

Tabasco Sauce | ¼ tsp

Oregano | ¼ tsp

Salt and pepper, to taste
